Welcome to the second episode of Onchain Fire, covering the latest news around web 2 and web 3 shooter games. There has been a lot going on recently, so let's get into this week's headlines.

Rage Effect

Golden Studios' formal beta launch of Rage Effect took place on June 30th. Rage Effect is a community-driven PvP, and PvE FPS built on the Solana blockchain. The genre combines aspects of shooter, survival, and exploration, with a Counter-Strike-style feel and dynamic gameplay by Guilds that promotes teamwork to help players survive and gain rewards. Demolition and Domination are two new game modes created by the team. More information regarding the Beta and latest developments can be found here.

Crypto Walkers

The next Female collection and game will reveal more details about the Gas Grenade. The Crypto Walkers crew began publishing a weekly update this week. The most recent one contained Game Development updates such as: The landscape architects creating a post-apocalyptic map. Over the last week, they have been working on a chapel that will be important to the first game mode, which will be an attacker + defender rush gameplay. While building on a 64km2 island, the crew will soon reveal a sneak peek of this chapel. They're also looking for a Lore Master as it will play an important role in the collection, game, and Walker World. The Lore Strategy is being explored and developed at the moment. Community competitions are just around the corner.

The Harvest Game

We got to see several Premium NFT Cards from The Harvest this week. The Harvest is a novel take on MOBA class-based shooters presently being developed on Solana. Their first NFT launch is scheduled for July 7th, but gamers may test it out now by joining the official discord channel. The Harvest is being created at a breakneck pace, with weekly live playing sessions. Guilds and GameFi platforms also get in on the action, hosting tournaments with cash prizes of up to $2000 for the winners. Pre Alpha Gameplay

Bossfighters VR

The Boss Fighters Team also provided us with a fresh game development update, which included new weapons, a renovated Battle Arena, a new Game Lobby, fun jump pads, lifts, air tubes, and much more.

Try Hards

The Tryhards team has published a new UI upgrade and is preparing for the Alpha release. Tryhards tries to be a competitive, engaging, and above all, enjoyable game to play. They want to keep gamers interested in a fair and balanced manner. It is designed that players who want to start from zero may grind and gain legendary treasure, while those who wish to join at a higher level but do not have the time to put in all those grindy hours can do so too.

Thetan Arena

Thetan Arena has introduced Marketplace Quests. Hint: Visit the marketplace every day to obtain simple quest points.

Mighty Bear Games

Then there's Mighty Bear Games, which collected $10 million through a token sale to start a blockchain gaming division and develop its Mighty Action Heroes Web3 game. The Singapore-based business intends to create a series of unique, fair, and intelligent triple-A Web3 games. Mirana, Sfermion, Spartan, Dune Ventures, Sanctor Capital, Folius Ventures, Polygon, Play Future Fund, Everblue, Ancient8, Ready Player DAO, Razer, Avocado DAO, DWeb3, Great South Gate, mrblock, and others participated in the round. The first game is expected to be released later this year. The game wants to be a third-person multiplayer battle royale that emphasizes enjoyment, skill, and chaos.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Following Rockstar Games' decision to devote its resources to the upcoming Grand Theft Auto, no future substantial upgrades will be provided to Red Dead Redemption. CruelMasterMC has released a fantastic new mod, Life Of Crime 2.0.1, on the Nexus Mods website. The mod's major highlight is the character creation tool, allowing users to build their unique characters. This implies that, unlike Red Dead Online, gamers may now experience Red Dead Redemption 2's tale as their own created character rather than as Arthur Morgan. There are also some well-crafted moments, or rather a mini-story. In addition, the mod has introduced a wardrobe, rank system, and skill tree to the game.
